Migrate the content of my WordPress blog to Webflow

⚠️ XML File vs CSV File

By default, exporting your posts from the Wordpress dashboard is done in an XML file format. However,... we need a CSV file to use the import function in the Webflow CMS.

Fortunately, there are user-friendly plugins available to ensure your content is exported in a CSV format.

1. Exporting Data from Your Wordpress Site

Why keep it simple when you can complicate things? Once again, Wordpress requires us to use a plugin to export data in CSV format. But don’t worry, we’re almost there!

1. Download the Wp All Export Plugin

There are various Wordpress plugins for this operation. Here’s one:

2. Activate the Plugin on Wordpress

3. Export the Site Data

• Select the content you wish to export
• Download the content in CSV format

2. Importing Content to Your Webflow Site

You’re just a few clicks away from having your content on your new Webflow site...!

2.1 Open Your Webflow CMS Collection

2.2 Import Your CSV File

That's it! Your content is now on your new website built with Webflow!

Just be careful about two points:

• Do not exceed the limit of 10,000 items in the Webflow CMS
• Match the fields in your CSV file with the fields in your Webflow content management system (CMS).
