Key points

Weglot is a truly useful no-code tool for achieving international visibility through its automatic translation solution for website pages. With Weglot, you can translate almost everything on your website: text, images, videos, and even basic SEO settings.

In our tutorial today, we will show you how, using Weglot, you can customize the Title tag and Meta Description for each page of your website to optimize your organic search ranking.

Step 1: Log in to Weglot

First, you need to log in to your Weglot account and select the project for which you want to modify the SEO settings.

Step 2: Access Weglot's Visual Editor

Next, once you are on the Weglot Dashboard, click on the "Translations" tab, then on "Visual Editor". You will then be able to click on the "Start editing" button, which will take you directly to Weglot’s visual editor.

Weglot's visual editor is like a parallel version of your website, where you can click on any element to modify its translation according to the languages present on your site. For those using Webflow, Weglot's visual editor resembles the editor mode in Webflow.

Step 3: Click on the SEO Button

Once you are connected to Weglot's visual editor (you are on your website), click on the "SEO" button in the top menu. This button will allow you to translate the SEO parameters of the web page you are currently on.

Step 4: Translate the Title and Meta Description

After clicking the "SEO" button, a pop-up window opens with the SEO parameters, Title and Meta Description. Make sure to fill in these fields in your website editor for your base version (default language).

You just need to modify the automatic translation of these SEO fields to optimize them according to the languages of your site.

Step 5: Repeat the Process for Each of Your Web Pages

You can now repeat this process for all the pages of your website, either by navigating through your site or entering the URL of each page in the dedicated field (in Weglot's visual editor).

That's it! A straightforward and quick solution that Weglot offers us to enhance our organic visibility on search engines. To go further, you can also discover how to add translation rules in Weglot.
