Attributes (developed by Finsweet) are one of the first Webflow libraries—and still the most widely used today.
Originally launched as a V1, they’re now available in V2 (open source). Attributes let you add powerful features to your Webflow sites using a no-code approach, simply by adding scripts and HTML attributes.
Why use Finsweet’s Attributes?
There are many reasons to integrate Attributes into your Webflow projects, for example:
- Filter your collections (blog, case studies, toolbox, etc.)
- Combine multiple CMS collections on the same page
- Apply different CSS styles inside your Rich Text blocks
- Populate sliders directly from your CMS collections
- Add a dynamic table of contents to your content
…and much more, available directly on their official website.

How does it work?
Think of Attributes as Webflow’s first real “plug-in.” They’re easy to use, safe, and don’t negatively affect your site’s performance.
You don’t need to write a single line of code—just copy and paste elements from the guided tutorials available on the Finsweet Attributes website.
💡 In early 2025, Finsweet launched V2: a more complete, faster (load-optimized), and open-source version. V1 is still accessible but no longer maintained.

Pricing
Good news: Attributes V1 and V2 are 100% free. (V2 is even open-source.)

Our take
Finsweet’s Attributes are a must-have tool in the Webflow ecosystem. They’re free, easy to use, and help you bypass many of Webflow’s native limitations—without writing complex custom code.
Only drawbacks: the official documentation is only available in English, and you have to make sure everything is correctly implemented for them to work properly.
“Since their launch, Attributes have been an essential tool for our agency. They allow us to easily overcome Webflow’s limitations and deliver high-performing solutions to our clients.” — Florian Bodelot, Co-founder of Digidop
